Yesterday the first train service left our new rail freight facility in Blackford, bound for our external warehouse in Daventry. The facility has been in development for over 10 years and is a critical part of our commitment to tackling climate change.

Highland Spring Group has put its Net Zero ambitions on the right track by opening a new rail freight facility. First Minister Nicola Sturgeon was in attendance at the sites official opening event last month. The rail freight facility has been backed by the Scottish Government, which invested £4.47 million through a Freight Facilities Grant.

Only time will judge whether COP26 was a success. To many it achieved real progress, to others not enough, and to some it was all 'blah, blah, blah'. Whatever camp you are in, one thing is for sure, all eyes were on Scotland and the hospitality industry had much to cheer about after the covid lockdowns.
