The redevelopment of Glasgow Queen Street was recognised, on Tuesday 11 July, with the unveiling of a National Railway Heritage Award (NRHA) at the station.

The 'Bowline' was created using a disused railway viaduct, and has created a new linear park connecting to the National Cycle network. [The trackbed of the former Lanarkshire and Dumbartonshire Railway/CR/LMS crosses over the Forth and Clyde Canal, open railway (the Glasgow, Dumbarton and Helensburgh Railway/NBR/LNER) and A814 in quick succession. -RS]

The historic Customs House has been subject to an extensive refurbishment now boasting a seven-bedroom property and associated restaurant. The revamp of the historic Customs House at Bowling Harbour is complete. The building as well as the disused railway have seen a huge overhaul and have now been put out to market with a tenant sought for the seven-bedroom renovated Customs House as well as a restaurant.
