Description

This was a short lived four platform interchange station just south of Dalrymple Junction. The platforms were short.

After closure of the station the location was later remodelled with the Dalmellington line being reduced to one line and the Girvan route gaining a siding on the west side, served from the junction. The Girvan route was singled in 1973.

A short lived Maybole Junction [Maybole] existed much further south just north of the junction between the lines to Maybole [1st] and Maybole stations.
