Description

This is a minimal modern two platform station but with a large car park. The station is east of the original Wallyford [1st] station, which was very short lived.

To the west was the junction and exchange sidings for Wallyford Colliery Pit No 1, Wallyford Brick Works and Wallyford Colliery Pit No 3, to the south. The signal box 'Wallyford' was located on the north side of the line at the junction. It closed in 1961.

To the east was Morrison's Haven Junction, for the branch north to Prestongrange Colliery and Morrison's Haven.

A little further to the east is the Dolphingstone Deviation (Railtrack).

The line between Edinburgh Waverley, North Berwick and Dunbar is supported and promoted by the East Lothian Community Rail Partnership .
