The vexed issue of who controls the opening and closing of train doors has returned to haunt Scotland's main operator with the impending launch of electric services on the Glasgow - Barrhead line in a month's time.

The Scottish steam train known as 'Hogwarts Express' has suspended all services over safety concerns. Jacobite operators West Coast Railways announced that an issue with the popular train's hinged door has caused it to axe all its passenger services.
