Ribbleton (Red Scar)
Looking towards Preston on the trackbed of the Longridge branch at the site of Red Scar exchange sidings near Ribbleton. This is the spot where David Hindle took his photo from the cab of LMS 8F 2-8-0 48546 while it shunted there in 1968. See image 25682. The trackbed can be cycled or walked from here down past the old Ribbleton station and on towards Deepdale.
