Ribbleton (Red Scar)
Another picture of Black 5 45110 in the exchange sidings at Ribbleton. The loco has brought in a load of coal for the Courtaulds plant See image 24678 and is about to return to Lostock Hall. Note the hand painted smokebox number and also that the top lamp bracket has moved to the smokebox door due to overhead electrification safety concerns. 45110, in much cleaner condition, was to figure in the End of BR Steam workings before moving into preservation on the Severn Valley railway.
