England^s highest stations car park has been transformed after a major overhaul. Work to resurface the car park and bus turning circle at Northern^s picturesque Dent station, which stands at a height of 1150 feet above sea level, is now complete.

This is is the highest mainline station in England at a height of 1150 feet above sea level. It is a two platform station. The station building, now a private house, stands on the northbound platform.

The 0926 Carlisle - Leeds train arrives at Dent Station on 9 January 2010. Trains ran very well over the snowy period which lasted about 5 weeks, although the evening train back on this particular day did lose time due to having to creep through Blea Moor tunnel as a result of giant icicles!
