Train derails on East Lancashire Railway line blocking Metrolink services in Bury [MEN]

A specialist weed killing train which came off the rails on heritage railway is now blocking Metrolink services in Bury. The specialist vehicle, which is used to clear overgrowth from the line, was running on the East Lancashire Railway when it derailed at around 10.30am on Tuesday morning. It is currently blocking the Metrolink line between Bury and Radcliffe stations. Metrolink are running a reduced service on the East Didsbury and Bury lines following the incident.
