West Coast Railway Company prohibited from main line running [Rail]

The Office of Rail and Road (ORR) has issued a Prohibition Notice to West Coast Railway Company (WCR) preventing it running its heritage rail services on the main line railway, with effect from February 18. The notice relates to concerns about WCRs management of safety, following a number of incidents over the past year.

With West Coast Railway's troubles hopefully behind them an extended Fellsman season got underway on 27th May with 45699 Galatea taking the first train of the 2015 season out of Lancaster. Fellsman trains are scheduled to run every Wednesday until 26th August.

It's not every day you find a diesel locomotive in Brighton station, but on 10 May 2014 WCRC 57315 has arrived with a railtour from Carnforth. On the other end was 47786, which took the tour on to Eastbourne.
