Kirkhill Colliery Signal Box (1878-1902)
Busheyhill Signal Box (1902-1909)

Opened on the Clydesdale Junction Railway.

Description

This was the signal box for the short mineral line to Kirkhill Colliery which was located on the north side of the railway east of Cambuslang station. To the east was Gateside Junction.

The box was on the south side of the line opposite the sidings for the colliery and brick works.

With the opening of the Lanarkshire and Ayrshire Railway and its Kirkhill station a more suitable name was used for the box, Busheyhill from around 1902. (Bushey Hill is a little way to the west and to the south of the line.)

The box closed in 1909.

The main line remains open.
