Knott End
An ex-LNWR Cauliflower 0-6-0, LMS No. 8525, standing in Knott End station with a mixed goods train apparently ready to head back towards Garstang in a splendid but undated photograph. The glass fronted covered area for passengers between the buffers and main building can be seen but the platform is grass covered so the 1930 withdrawal of passenger services may have taken place. Later photos, but prior to the complete closure in 1950, show the covered area removed and just the brick station building visible. The loco is in a post 1928 livery but taken prior to the late 30s and early 40s renumbering of ex-LNWR locos, whereby this example would have become 28525.
