Knott End

Manning Wardle 0-6-0T Knott End believed to be taken by the loco facilities at Knott End station. This locomotive was bought new in 1908 for the opening of the extension of the railway from Pilling to Knott End. Although the extension was built by a new company known as the Knott End Railway the locomotive carries the old initials G&KERy on its side tanks. It stayed on the railway until the grouping but was almost immediately withdrawn and scrapped by the LMS in 1923.
