Knott End

The substantially rebuilt terminus of the Knott End Railway in its centenary year. Opened in 1908 the sparse passenger service See image 29967 only lasted twenty two years until closure in 1930 with goods services finishing in 1950. The two lines terminated in between the building extensions, the left of which is in basically original condition. The Fleetwood ferry slipway is to the left of the station, which is now used as a cafe with pictures of the old railway displayed inside.
