These were the peat works of George Watson & Sons. The location was north west of Strichen and Brucklay [2nd] stations. The works on the north side of the B9093 Pitsligo to Strichen road.
To the immediate north were the New Pitsligo Peat Works owned by the Northern Peat & Moss Litter Co Ltd of New Pitsligo.
