Description

This distillery is close to the former Dailuaine Halt. It was served by a branch from just east of the Bridge of Carron on the Strathspey Railway which opened around 1885 and closed in November 1968. The locomotive shed still exists.

The distillery had its own locomotive also named 'Dailuaine', Dailuaine No.1 built by [Andrew Barclay, Sons & Co at the Caledonia Works, No 2073 of 1939. The locomotive has survived. After some time on the Strathspey Railway [Preserved] it can now be found as a static display at Aberfeldy Distillery.
