Uddingston: Artist's impression of the new footbridge at Uddingston. Scotland’s Railway will begin construction work to provide step-free access between platforms at Uddingston station. Our teams will be setting up on site from November 20, with construction work to install a new footbridge and lift system set to start work in early December.
Cameron Bridge: A section of the core path P368/02 at Dunniface near Cameron Bridge will close to the public from Monday November 20 until the end of May 2024. Closure of part of the Water Balk Path, which carries walkers between Windygates and Methilhill, is needed to enable Network Rail to carry out work associated with the new railway. Work will include the enhancement of active travel routes in the area and while the closure is in place underfoot conditions will be difficult with be extensive movement of materials, plant and machinery ongoing.

Sitting on the East Coast Main Line, the new station has two platforms, 114 car parking spaces, including blue badge priority parking, and 18 electric vehicle charging points. It's fully accessible with lifts and a new footbridge connecting both platforms, with access for pedestrians and cyclists. Commuters will be able to connect into Edinburgh Waverley, with direct access to the East Coast Main Line also available for services to Dunbar and Newcastle.

Dess: Dess, seen from a departing DMU bound for Ballater. The date is not known for certain, but probably late 1965 or early 1966, just a few weeks before closure of the Deeside line.
Knaresborough: A nice touch in the Track and Sleeper real ale bar that is in two rooms on the York platform at Knaresborough.

Shotts East Goods: Shotts East in April 1979 looking west. The North British Railway provided a goods station in Shotts served by the line which ran from Westcraigs Junction to Blackhall Junction. It was known as Shotts until 09/1952 when BR renamed it Shotts East. The section from Blackhall Junction to Shotts is recorded as closing on 06/03/1950 with the end coming on 17/06/1963 when the remainder of the line from Westcraigs was taken out of service. The NB line through Shotts crossed the CR line not far east of the station.

Leeds: 91110 'Battle of Britain Memorial Flight' arrives in Leeds, a little late, at the head of the 1403 from Kings Cross on 11th October 2023. Nice to see that retro Inter-City livery on the rake of MkIV coaches.
Broomhill Crossing: The Devon Valley Railway followed the north side of the Gairney Water, following its various bends. From Tullibole Crossing, seen in the distance, it changed course heading north east towards Balado. Loch Leven can be seen in the distance.
Portsmouth Harbour: DEMU 1127 at Portsmouth Harbour on a dull day in May 1975.
