Arndean Cutting: View west to a removed bridge. West of Arndean the DVR crossed a minor road between Vicar's Bridge and Westmuir. With the opening of the line the road was placed into a cutting with retaining walls on the east side of the bridge.
Ashington Colliery: Hunslet 21201/208, works no. 6616 of 1965, at Ashington Colliery in 1987, along with an ex-BR Class 14. The Hunslet had previously worked at Boldon Colliery.
Rochford: 720542 with the ex-09.33 Greater Anglia service from Liverpool Street to Southend Victoria departing from Rochford, Essex, at 10.23 on Friday, 15th September 2023.
Great Harwood: The last trains ran through Great Harwood in 1964. Now this street, known as Railway Terrace, overlooks a public greenspace that has been built on the trackbed and runs for some distance towards Blackburn. This view looks east towards the site of Great Harwood station.
Falahill Summit: A southbound ScotRail DMU on the Borders Railway rounds the curve at Falahill with a service to Tweedbank. View is north east, looking back towards Tynehead, on the morning of 21 July 2022.
Bolitho Viaduct: The sun in the early morning is on the up side at Bolitho. 47808 has the Penzance to Glasgow service on the viaduct. Harvest time is over.
Maud: Last day of passenger services at Maud, with a BRCW Type 2 (later Class 27) on the 2.15pm Fraserburgh-Aberdeen.
Blairingone Siding: This interesting bridge carries a minor road (Blairingone to Vicar's Bridge) over the Devon Valley Railway a little east of the site of Blairingone Siding. The bridge is skew and the roadway crosses over the top on even more of a skew. Those stonemasons were quite something.
Horseshoe Viaduct: The 06.55 Mallaig to Glasgow Queen Street crossing Horseshoe Viaduct in October 1975. Motive power is an unidentified Class 27.
Ashington Colliery: 9107/57 (D9555) and NCB No.7 (D9518) stabled at Ashington in 1987, the latter under repair. Both locos made it into preservation but D9518 has not yet operated although in 2023 it is nearing the end of a long, comprehensive restoration.
Pinkhill: Pinkhill station in 1967 with a Met-Cam DMU from Corstorphine to North Berwick arriving. Passenger services over the branch were withdrawn as from 01/01/1968 with the last trains running on Saturday 30/12/1967.
