Newhaven Marine: View from preserved 1957 Hastings Thumper unit at the Brett Aggregates Terminal at the end of the freight spur from Newhaven Harbour on the Seaford branch, at 16.08 on Saturday, 12th August 2023. Brett Aggregates is an independant producer of sand and gravel and this site is a recent addition to the business, completed in May 2020 with the first train arriving for loading a month later. Since then, over 500 trains have been loaded at this site moving over half a million tonnes of marine dredged aggregate to various railheads and customers in and around London. (I am grateful to the UK Railtours guide book for this information.)

Uddingston: An artist's impression of Uddingston with a new fully accessible footbridge. It will be an uncovered footbridge made of steel and is to be located approximately 25m to the west of the existing footbridge, which will be removed after the new one is installed. These works are supported by the governments Access for All scheme, with Transport Scotland, on behalf of the Department for Transport, identifying the station as one that would benefit from the funding.

Glenbeigh: A view east towards Glenbeigh station, towards the start of the section of the trackbed currently under conversion to the South Kerry Greenway. This will run from here at a former bridge over a local road (the east abutment can be seen) to Cahirciveen, mostly utilising the former trackbed where it has not been obliterated by road development as it has been at Mountain Stage. Local roads will be used where the trackbed is not available.
