Oxford: DC Rail Cargo 60029 southbound from Oxford Banbury Sidings to Machen Quarry passes through Oxford on 29th June 2022 as a Turbo DMU calls at the station. Reporting No. 6Z52. Oxford's new Platform 5 is in the later planning stages and will be open for traffic in early 2024. Perhaps this might include electrification from Didcot to Oxford.

Skagen: The splendid terminus at Skagen, although it possesses all its railway features including working clocks, is not presently in railway use and entrance to the platform is round either side of the building. The station is sited close to the town centre and enjoys a regular service along the 25 mile single line to Fredrikshaven.

Hett Mill Level Crossing: A down Azuma shows no sign of slowing down for its next stop at Durham as it passes Hett Mill level crossing. This crossing has little road traffic as it is on a cul-de-sac, but another photographer turned up while I was in residence.

Wearmouth Colliery: Looking west over the headshunt for Wearmouth Colliery sidings, closed in 1993 and formerly on a through route to Southwick Junction. On the skyline are the remaining approach arches of the [[Queen Alexandra Bridge]], built double - decked for road and rail as a joint venture between Sunderland Corporation and the North Eastern Railway. The railway closed in 1921 having been little used.

Samedan: Two Rhaetian Railway Class G4/5 locomotives after arrival at Samedan, in the Swiss Engadine, with a double-headed special excursion from Chur over the Albula Line. These veteran locomotives, numbered 107 and 108 and dating from 1906, have been kept in working order by the RhB although long since retired from regular service. The photograph was taken in September 1971, and the locomotives can still be seen today on occasional steam specials [[44732]], albeit nowadays normally single-handed and over relatively short stretches of the Rhaetian system.

South Hampstead: 378233, with a London Overground Euston to Watford Junction service, emerging from tunnel and arriving at its first stop at South Hampstead on 15th June 2013. This station opened in 1879 as Loudoun Road for Swiss Cottage and was renamed in 1922. The disused platforms on the WCML are out of view on the right (see image [[67931]]). Just above the tunnel portals in the background runs the Chiltern Line to and from Marylebone without a station here, so no interchange facilities.
