Stutton: Almost no-one travelling along the A162 that runs between Tadcaster and Pontefract will appreciate that they are crossing a stone built 3-arch bridge just north of Towton village. There is a parapet on the west side of the road, but nothing on the other side, by the junction to Ulleskelf, bar a grass verge and some scrub land beyond. This bridge - CFH 1 / 1A - is one of few remaining features from the former line running between Church Fenton and Harrogate via Wetherby. View is along the trackbed towards Tadcaster.

Bristol Bath Road Depot: 37232 and a classmate at Bath Road depot in September 1983. 37232 later moved to Scotland, often working the Kyle line in the early 90s, but it was put into storage in 1996 and cut up at Springs Branch by EWS in 2000.

Dunfermline Town: 46100 'Royal Scot' taking on water at Dunfermline Town, during Steam Dreams' evening circular tour from and back to Edinburgh Waverley, at 19.43 on Friday, 17th June 2022. As well as quenching the locomotive's thirst, this enabled passengers to enjoy a 20 minutes leg stretch.

Preda: A spectacular steam special ran on the Rhaetian Railway in September 1971 over the renowned Albula route from Chur to Samedan, double-headed by the RhBs veteran Class G4/5 locomotives 107 and 108. On the return journey the locomotives were photographed beginning the descent of the northern Albula ramp, shortly after leaving Preda.

Didcot Parkway: The flanks of DBC 66100 'ARMISTICE100', with Poppy emblem and inscription plate too, seen in Didcot Station sidings on 29th June 2022. It is still sat on the accommodation bogie that I first saw last May.

Ramsbottom: A wide variety of traction was in use at the ELR 2022 Summer Diesel Gala, over three days in July. BRCW and Cravens 2-car DMUs make their way to the siding at Ramsbottom after a quick run up from Bolton Street on the final day of the gala.

Crozon: Although not the terminus of the metre gauge branchline from Carhaix, Crozon-Morgat station was sufficiently large to warrant a goods yard and loco shed. The route of the line heading both east and west is now effectively the town bypass road whilst the goods yard is devoted to car parking. However, the loco shed remains in good condition in an undetermined use whilst the area covered by the shed yard is regularly utilised as the town's terrain de petanque.

Blisworth Tunnel: When Blisworth canal tunnel was rebuilt in the 1980s, the opportunity was taken to try out the proposed construction of the Eurotunnel. One segment was left behind at the South portal of the canal tunnel. In the context of the Channel Tunnel, the white on black label reading Water Level is of some concern.

Carlisle: In that time honoured spot where all manner of famous locomotives waited to take over southbound trains (See [[55309]]), less glamorous 70811 was on relatively mundane duties at Carlisle on 2nd July 2022. It was waiting for a clear road onto the S&C with two empty log carriers from Carlisle New Yard to Doncaster Roberts Road depot.
