Cricklade: New (very) track. On a wet and miserable day, I went out with the camera to see how the S&CR's Cricklade extension is getting on and they are doing very well. The head of steel is virtually at the location of the future, the temporary Farrfield Lane station. Looking north on 6th January 2022, the PW ballaster has yet to perform its miracles in levelling the newly laid track.

Tollerton: An unidentified Colas Rail class 70 loco heads north mid-morning, on a short rake of ballast loaded twin axle wagons, with the daily northbound Doncaster Decoy to Millerhill engineers working, as seen from Station Road at Tollerton, on 30 May 2019. The return working would get back in the early hours of the next day. N.B. The times for this working have changed a number of times since this view, and as of Dec 2021 it is now booked to pass Tollerton at 06.00 northbound and 21.50 returning south.

Ribblehead: The 2020 'Staycation Express' services ran over the Settle and Carlisle with classic traction and 47712, seen on the rear of a southbound service at Ribblehead, was partnered with 47593, D6817, D6851 and even D8107 on various trains. However, on 12th September, preserved 40145 (D345) was turned out to work the southbound services (See image [[74218]]) and 47712 hauled the northbounds.
