Didcot Parkway: GWR EMU 387161 being readied for departure to London Paddington from Didcot on 9th November 2021.
Peterborough: A general view South from the Peterborough footbridge, shortly after dusk, on 28thDecember2021. Plenty of passenger trains; but as usual between Christmas and New Year, not much freight. The gent on the platform certainly seems to have got the knack of social distancing.
Smeeth Road: Smeeth Road station and goods shed looking north in February 2018. The large goods shed has undergone a conversion into a domestic property. The station house also was in use. The building beyond the house has been partly built on the trackbed
Polkemmet Colliery: Steam up inside Polkemmet Colliery engine shed in 1978.
Carlisle Upperby Shed: The sun has caught push-pull fitted Ivatt 2MT 2-6-2T 41222 as it sits on the turntable in the Carlisle Upperby roundhouse on 29 May 1966. Although it looks in good nick, its days were probably numbered, being withdrawn by the end of the year.
Farringdon: Farringdon station, looking north from staircase, with a train of LUL S8 stock on a Metropolitan Line service from Aldgate to Amersham calling on 22nd January 2019. The 'Widened Lines' platforms as they were called, now part of Thameslink, are at a lower level on the left.
Clyde Viaduct [Glasgow Central]: 320312 crosses the Clyde with a service from Newton on 27th December 2021.
Preston: DRS 68017 passes Preston on a light engine move from Crewe to Carlisle on 21 December 2021.
St Boswells: One of Hawick's Standard Class 2s has brought a Kelso Branch service into St Boswells on 19th August 1965. It is seen here after running round, about to shunt the carriage into the bay platform and form the next departure in the opposite direction.
