Ribble Steam Railway Museum

Taken from the mid point of the locomotive, this is the view towards the No.2 cab of Deltic alongside one of the two Napier 2-stroke engines. The low ceiling panels conceal the roof mounted water tanks feeding the steam heating boiler alongside the camera. In the confined space of the passageways on either side of the engines one could only sympathise with the travelling engineer who's working environment this was and speculate on the noise levels when the Napiers were under power.
