Duns

When D181 came to grief at the east of Duns goods yard on the morning of 30th August 1965, more or less in front of my eyes, I had plenty of time to fetch my camera and get this shot as it waited for the arrival of the breakdown crane from Gateshead. The bright gable end immediately to the left of the loco is the station building on the westbound platform, with the goods shed to its left, while further over is Wilson's granary and  the gasworks chimney apparently sticking out of the roof.
