Duns
After re-railing see image 35405 D181 was deposited in the goods yard opposite the long disused engine shed at Duns, where it is seen late in the afternoon on 30 August 1965. Unfortunately, I have no idea whether it left under its own power or was towed away as part of the branch freight later that week - school restarted the following day, precluding further daytime visits until the following weekend.
