Duns
Scene at Duns on the afternoon of 30th August 1965 see image 44614. The Gateshead crane lifts the east end of D181, with the far end being dealt with using jacks and packing. Getting all eight axles of this heavyweight loco back on the rails can't have been a simple matter but had been accomplished by the end of the day.
