Morecambe Promenade

Looking out over the buffer stops alongside platform 1 of Morecambe Promenade station in the summer of 1989, some 5 years before the station closed. The DMU preparing to leave the platform is adorned with a 'Buxton Spa Line' logo on its nose and is displaying a destination panel reading 'Heysham Sea Terminal for IOM'. Happily, despite losing its train service in 1994, Morecambe Promenade station still stands see image 18660.
