Exterior of the former Morecambe Promenade station, seen here on 18th March 2017. This station opened on 24th March 1907 and closed in 1993, buses replacing trains until the present apology for a station opened on 28th May 1994, called simply Morecambe and situated a quarter mile east of the seafront and former terminus. The old Promenade station has become a council run entertainment venue and visitor information centre.
