Campaigners in bid to re-open East Linton rail station [East Lothian News]

Rail campaigners and Iain Gray MSP convinced Transport Minister Keith Brown to visit East Linton to see for himself the potential for the re-opening of a train station in the village. They pressed the case for the plan as part of a new dedicated hourly rail service between Edinburgh and Berwick via Dunbar.

The down platform buildings at East Linton on 16 May 2007 standing alongside the ECML. Beyond is the fine looking 'Station House'. Originally opened as Linton in 1846, the name change occurred 18 years later. The station was eventually closed in May 1964.
