Experts back new stations on stop-free stretch of the west coast line [Scotsman]

OPENING new stations on Britain's longest stretch of railway line without a stop has been backed by a feasibility study.

GBRf 66733 ^Cambridge PSB^ is accelerated hard just after leaving Beattock station loop shortly after 16.00 on 13 June 2019. The train is the Mossend to Carlisle Yard Castle Cement empties working, en route back to Horrocksford cement works.

Whilst not at a station, there is a small collection of railway items and photos, many relating to Beattock at the Old Stables Inn in the village. Apart from the items on display, the food was most enjoyable for my lunchtime stop on my way north.
