Shieldhall Wharf

Description

This wharf is on the south side of the River Clyde. To the west is the King George V Dock and to the east the Linthouse Shipbuilding & Engineering Works. The wharves were served by the Shieldhall Branch (Glasgow and Paisley Joint Railway) which connected into the dock to the west and shipyard to the east.

In 1911 the wharves were dedicated to timber traffic.

Today the eastern and western wharves are out of use. The Shieldhall Riverside Quay remains in use, extended east.
