Craighead Signal Box

Opened on the Glasgow, Bothwell, Hamilton and Coatbridge Railway.

Description

This signal box was immediately south of Craighead Viaduct and just north of the Craighead Colliery Pits Nos 1 and 2 sidings, which were on the west side of the line and approached from the north.

To the south the line passed under the Caledonian Railway's Hamilton branch and the Strathaven Junction Yard to reach Blantyre Junction [NBR].
