Beet Factory Signal Box (1927-1973)

Opened on the Edinburgh and Northern Railway.

Description

This signal box controlled access to the considerable sugar beet factory east of Cupar (and west of Dairsie).

There was a loop on the north side of the line. Many sidings ran from this loop, approached from the east.

The box and sidings closed in 1973.

The site is now an industrial estate but no longer rail served.
