London Waterloo: London Waterloo, seen from 455 5911 on the curved approach as it arrives at one of the former Eurostar platforms, at 15.14 on Thursday, 17th April 2025.
Finmere: There are three centuries of history here. In 1899, a railway bridge was built over what is now the A421 at Finmere; a pedestrian entrance was built into one abutment with the GCR policy of minimizing station entrances to control staff costs. By 1963, when Finmere closed, it was presumably getting awkward to stop cars under the bridge for passengers and the entrance was bricked up. In 2025, the scene is dominated by massive girders that will take HS2 over the former bridge. Sadly the attractive station master's house to the west of this bridge has been demolished.
St Rollox Works: Class 08 D3045 at Glasgow St Rollox Works, in condemned condition, in March 1976.
Thornton Junction: NBR J37 0-6-0 64570 at Thornton Junction on 7th September 1966.
Norham: Looking west at Norham station, with the signalbox on the right, in 1987. At this time the site was owned by the former stationmaster's family.
Bay Horse: Blue HST Power Cars 43467 and 43423 head south through Forton cutting with Tri-mode hybrid unit 769959 (should that be a Trybrid?) taking it from Eastriggs MOD to Long Marston. Bringing up the rear were two more cars, 43465 and 43484 in Rail Adventure grey livery.
Glenfarg South Tunnel: This is the northern portal of the southern of the two Glen Farg tunnels. The bridge (bottom of the view) carries a minor road to Pottiehill Farm.
Cadoxton: 37139, working in multiple with refurbished 37502, head past Cadoxton with empty mgr from Aberthaw to Penalta on 7th May 1986.
