Elderslie: Stanier 8F 2-8-0 No 48321 is signalled for the Paisley Canal line as it makes its way out of the Elderslie goods yard on 4 October 1963.

Woodacre Crossing: The 'Eastriggs Eloper' ran from Watford Junction to Carlisle on 14th September 2024. At Carlisle 66756 was attached to top and tail the excursion which then visited Eastriggs and Longtown MOD depots and various goods lines and chords around Carlisle. The evening return to Watford Junction is seen passing Woodacre with the Class 57 operating solo again.

Green Lane: 507002, in promotional livery, slows to call at Green Lane on 1st November 2023. In the background is the low roof tunnel that precluded the LMS installing overhead electrification on the Wirral lines. 507002 was withdrawn early in 2024 and on 11th March left the Merseyrail network on its way to Sims Metals in Newport for scrapping.

Findhorn Viaduct [Tomatin]: An early start was needed to photograph the southbound 'Great Britain' railtour crossing the Findhorn Viaduct at Tomatin shortly after sunrise on April 14th 2007. The locomotives were A4 60009 'Union of South Africa' and K4 61994 'The Great Marquess'.

Buxton: Having just dealt with the train of full wagons destined for Hams Hall from Hindlow, the shunter climbs into the cab of GBRf 66782 hauling empties in the reciprocal direction and will take the short ride down to the end of the run-round loop. Her duties then include uncoupling/coupling the loco as part of its run-round manoeuvre and assisting the driver to perform a brake test before heading off in her van to assist with shunting after the train arrives at Hindlow.

Gorton [WHR]: A view, taken from a southbound train in 1971, of Gorton on the West Highland Railway. The loop has been disconnected and no signalling is in place although the signalbox itself is still in situ.

Tullibardine: This was Tullibardine station in 1988, almost entirely intact, but without track. The view looks north along the single platform towards the loading dock.

Ferguslie Viaduct: 10 September 1963 and Standard 4 2-6-0 No 76071 has just left Elderslie and is making for Paisley Gilmour Street. The line in the foreground is from Ferguslie (behind camera) to Paisley St James.
