Croy: 60532 'Blue Peter' speeds through Croy in 1993. In 2024 a major overhaul was completed at LNWR Heritage, Crewe, with the loco outshopped in blue livery.

Deansgate: A Class 185 DMU, in the original TPE livery, passes Deansgate station heading west in September 2012. In the foreground is the city bound platform of the G-Mex Metrolink stop, since rebuilt a little nearer the city centre and renamed Deansgate-Castlefield.

Lancaster: Hitachi hybrid 805002 draws into platform 3 at Lancaster after a test run from Euston on 13th March 2024. The previous day the train had run as a ten-car set with 805004 coupled to this unit.

Haymarket: An empty stock movement on its way from Waverley to Haymarket Depot about to run through platform 2 at Haymarket station after leaving the tunnel on the dull and overcast morning of 1st March 2024.

Markle Level Crossing: A GNER 225 nears Markle Level Crossing in 2007 with a southbound service. Plans have been announced in 2024 to replace the crossing with a bridge.

Mossley: Viewed from the Huddersfield platform at Mossley, 802217 snakes through passing close by the terrace of cottages overlooking the line. The impending electrification will change the residents' view. This was a TPE Newcastle to Liverpool service on 6th March 2024.
