Grangemouth Docks: The Rail Freight Group Scottish Conference took place in Grangemouth on Wednesday 7 March 2024. Freightliner ran a special from Elderslie for Malcolms, reviving a flow that ran for about 5 years 2009-14 66503 on 4D13 15 00 Grangemouth Docks (FPA) to Elderslie standing in the greatly extended handling facility shortly prior to departure. Ainsdale: The sun is out as 777019 arrives with a morning Southport to Hunts Cross service .

Millport Pier: A 1964 photograph of MV ‘Ashton’, tied up at the back of Millport pier. She was one of the two ‘Cumbrae’ ferries that operated the Largs-Millport service for many years.

Carnoustie: With a wave from the driver, 70806 speeds away from Carnoustie with the Aberdeen Waterloo to Port of Workington tanks on 28 February 2024.

Scott's Road Depot: WPR no. 16 passes Scott`s Road Depot on the Wemyss Private Railway with a train which I think has come from Michael Colliery. In the yard is WPR no. 18. I have no note of when this shot was taken but around 1970 will not be far out.

London Road Junction [Carlisle]: Jubilee 4-6-0 45562 'Alberta' runs past London Road Junction [Carlisle] on the approach to Carlisle with the summer Saturday 06.40 Birmingham-Glasgow. Black 5 44911 waits for the road with a very short Carlisle-Skipton pick-up freight.
