Manchester Central: An elevated view of Manchester Central in 2012. This opened in 1880 and closed as a passenger station in 1969, at the same time as Manchester Exchange. It was used for car parking for several years but gradually deteriorated before it was refurbished and reopened as the G-Mex exhibition and conference centre in 1986, later reverting back to the name Manchester Central. The Metrolink tramway can be seen climbing alongside the building to join the original CLC trackbed.

Mossley: Mossley occupies a cramped site so, to provide level/lift access to platforms when the Standedge route is electrified, a new station is going to be built a short distance away. The old building seen here will be retained though. 185150 and 185104 pass through with a Manchester Airport to Saltburn TPE service on 6th March 2024.

La Macarena: When the End of the World Railway first opened in 1994 there was a terminus station at La Macarena by the waterfall. As the line was extended towards the National Park a new station and loop was constructed at a lower level. The old station has become a cafe and shop with a narrow gauge train displayed in a siding, seen here on 2nd February 2024.
