Gairney Viaduct: Gairney Viaduct viewed from the south. The viaduct crosses the deep Gairney Glen. Even before the line opened it was commented that this would be a line passing through beautiful scenery.

New York Penn Station Moynihan Train Hall: A view of the light and airy Moynihan Train Hall at New York Penn Station, opened to the public on 1 January 2021. While the facilities are a welcome improvement, the connections between the New Jersey Transit facilities in the original station and the Amtrak and Long Island Railroad facilities in the Moynihan Train Hall are confusing to say the least, the various parts of Penn Station not being well integrated. The airy atrium is within the restored Beaux-Arts Farley building, a protected structure which resembles the original Penn Station.

Daisyfield Junction: As the two lines diverge at Daisyfield Junction they both cross over Fort Street. The East Lancashire line bridge is a steel structure carrying two tracks but that for the Hellifield Line has been renewed with a concrete beam and reduced to single line width. 156466 is on the rear of a train heading for Clitheroe as it crosses the structure in this September 2023 view, taken from beneath the East Lancashire line bridge.

Devonshaw Siding: Devonshaw Siding served the loading bank seen in this view, the 'main line' of the DVR was on the right. A tramway ran from the top of the loading bank to behind the camera, under the line, and off to climb land off to the right to Devonshaw Quarry. Several lengths of tram rails remain here in the undergrowth.
