Goathland [1st]: North Yorkshire Moors Railway Autumn Steam Gala. BR 9F 2-10-0s 92214 and 92134 double head the 09:31 Grosmont to Pickering approaching Abbots House on 22nd September 2023.
Edinburgh Waverley: 92033 stands at Waverley platform 19 on 20 September 2023 with the very late Caledonian Sleeper arrival from Euston, delayed by a power failure near Preston .
Inverkeithing: Levenmouth work continues. SB Rail tamper DR 77001 passes Inverkeithing on its way back from the Leven branch to Slateford Depot on 12 October 2023.
Ayr Station Hotel: The worst of the visible damage to the Station Hotel as seen on 5th October 2023. This view shows the range of the northern part from the west, including the tower and it can be seen that part of the roof is gone. Apparently assessing of the south gable is ongoing.
Aberystwyth Cliff Railway Upper Station: The Aberystwyth Cliff Railway as it was in July 1980, since when the funicular cars have been restyled. See image [[56832]] from 2016.
Varosmajor: The Budapest Rack Railway connects a lower terminus at Varosmajor, adjacent to the Tram stop, with an upper terminus at Szechenyihegy which is an eight minute walk from the Children's Railway. It is 3.7 km long, rises 264 metres and was opened in 1874. It is standard gauge and uses a Strub rack system with the teeth on the sides of the centre rail. It used to be steam powered and in 1926 was moved to 550/600 volt electric system like the Trams of that time but now uses a single overhead 1500-volt DC system.
Haltwhistle: The waiting room on platform 2 at Haltwhistle looked wonderful, but it was locked.
Aberystwyth [V of R] [1st]: Vale of Rheidol no. 9 'Prince of Wales', makes a lively departure from Aberystwyth with a service to Devils Bridge at the beginning of October 1979.
Dollar Viaduct: This verdant path (the former DVR) leads eastwards from the Dollar Viaduct in the direction of Balshie Siding
Ravenglass: View of the station at Ravenglass in 1972 with a local DMU calling. The old goods shed was later rebuilt and incorporated into a modern engineering workshop for the R&ER. See image [[85265]]

Bo'ness: Privately owned Swedish Railways B class 1313 shunts Scandinavian coaching stock at Bo'ness in 1985. The loco is now at the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway under restoration.
Forres [2nd]: The station building at Forres, photographed on 17th August 1965. Situated in the 'V' between the main platforms, this was a brick built British Railways replacement for the original building. Although of rather utilitarian 1950s design, it did at least fit rather neatly into the platform canopies at each side.
