Bolitho Viaduct: Seen from a distance, a class 150 Sprinter is crossing Bolitho viaduct near Liskeard in November 2011.
Ashton Swing Bridge (Preston): RSR Sentinel 'Enterprise' approaches the swing bridge with a short rake of bitumen tanks, heading for the unloading point in September 2023. During 2018 this loco was repainted into its original green livery to mark the 50th anniversary of the replacement of the Preston Dock fleet of 0-6-0STs with three of these powerful 4W diesels.
Dollar Viaduct: The east end of the dismantled Dollar Viaduct, with a brick wall to protect walkers from a precipitous drop to the River Devon down below.
Markinch: 1Q26, the Network Rail measurement train running from Edinburgh to Aberdeen, then Slateford, passes Markinch powered by 43274 and 43277 on 10 October 2023. To the right was the branch platform for Leslie and the goods yard.
Leeds: Catch them while you can. Although the TPE push-pull sets are slowly being withdrawn, there are still some in use on scheduled services although this will cease at the end of 2023. 68026 'Enterprise' and set TP05 were on the 1448hrs Scarborough to Manchester Piccadilly on 11th October, seen leaving Platform 16 at Leeds. Class 185s are being reintroduced onto these services, which will inevitably lead to a reduction in capacity across the TPE network.
Slateford: 86 428 speeds through Slateford with a train for Manchester or Birmingham.
Ormskirk: 777012 waiting (briefly) in Ormskirk before heading back to Liverpool Central on 16th September 2023. This particular train had connected with the hourly Sprinter to Preston.

Port St Mary: No. 11 'Maitland' pulls away from Port St Mary on route to Port Erin in July 1976. At this time services only operated between Port Erin and Balasalla. The section from Balasalla onwards to Douglas was intact but OOU, although of course it later reopened.
Farnham Junction: The MoD trip, worked by a Class 47, is seen at Farnham in 1975.

Carlisle Kingmoor Shed: Preserved LNER A4 Pacific 4498 (60007) 'Sir Nigel Gresley' seen on Carlisle Kingmoor Shed in April 1967, during servicing between arrival and departure of the Gresley Preservation Society Special working to Carlisle to celebrate completion of restoration.
Dollar Viaduct: View of Dollar Viaduct from the north west showing the Devon Valley Railway crossing the River Devon. The angle of the piers on the sadly dismantled viaduct can be seen to change half way across. Before the railway was built there was a loop of the river in the field on the left, getting legal permission to re-route the river delayed the line's construction. Beyond the viaduct the line ran through the trees and then followed a long curve round to the left.
Forres [2nd]: A Swindon DMU calling at Forres with an Aberdeen-Inverness service. The photograph was taken in August 1965.
