Oxford: GWR 800 xxx southbound for Paddington @ 1131. No front cowlings.
Duntreath Halt: View north to Duntreath Castle with the Blane Valley Railway running left to right in the foreground. Dumgoyne is in the background left, with Dumfoyn to its left and the Strathblane Hills, the western part of the Campsies, to the right. The castle was considerably larger in the days when King Edward VII used the railway to visit.
Fleetwood [Esplanade]: A very low tide in Morecambe Bay as the new 'Manxman' passes Fleetwood, heading for Heysham, with the daytime crossing from Douglas on 5th September 2023. At this time the 'Ben-my-Chree' was covering the night time sailings but later in the month they switched over.
Grantown-on-Spey East: Grantown-on-Spey East looking to Aviemore.
Rosewell and Hawthornden: The substantial road bridge spanning the trackbed of the Peebles Loop east of the site of Rosewell and Hawthornden station (1855 - 1962) seen here in September 2013. For a view of the bridge from the trackbed on the same day see image [[44475]].
Crieff Tunnel: Looking west from the King Street bridge towards Crieff Tunnel. Look at image [[27563]] for the view in 1970. The black shadow at the end of the car park is the parapet above the tunnel portal. 7 September 2023.
Ravenstruther: 322483 passes Ravenstruther on 21st May 2004, with the 15.17 North Berwick to Glasgow Central. This was the last day in service in Scotland for the 322s after their introduction in 2001 to replace the 305s used at that time. They were brought back to Scotland in the Autumn of 2005 lasting until 2011.
Hastings: Hastings station with EMU 7728 present in 1979.

Goathland: North Yorkshire Moors Railway. Southern Railway Schools Class No. 926 'Repton' draws away from Goathland (aka Aidensfield in Heartbeat) with the 10:00 Whitby - Pickering 8th September 2023. On another very hot day very few passengers, most got off at Goathland. No chance of any exhaust in these conditions.
