Bideford [2nd]: The interior of Bideford signal box, possibly more full than when it was in service; but it's all good stuff. Unfortunately nothing tells you when to expect the next 66 year old American <<station wagon>> (see image [[86865]])
Forfar South Junction: At first it looks like there is nothing railway related in this view. Bottom right is bridge number 200 (Turfbeg Road Bridge) on the Strathmore main line, located about three quarters of a mile west of Forfar station. The line ran to the distant industrial estate where it was met by the Forfar and Brechin Railway coming in from the fields to the lower left (unfortunately that route has been ploughed out for about two miles). The view looks east.
Corrour: The evening Caledonian Sleeper arrives at Corrour in July 2019. The train became double-hauled after (then) recent difficulties.
Dyce: This was the site of Dyce signal box shortly after its demolition. The 11:49 shuttle between Montrose to Inverurie approaches the station.
Blackford: Blackford signal box showing the porch and 'facilities', whilst no doubt much needed do not enhance the appearance! An old lamppost remains in use, now fitted with LED lighting.
Cobbinshaw [2nd]: A northbound engineers train, hauled by a Class 37, passes the site of Cobbinshaw station, with the reservoir on the right, in 1990.
Newhaven Marine: The disused up platform at Newhaven Marine station from passing preserved 1957 Hastings Thumper unit, returning from a visit to the Brett Aggregates Terminal during a UK Railtours charter, at 16.17 on Saturday, 12th August 2023. (For brief details of the history of this station and the railways in Newhaven, see my photo of Newhaven Harbour station, image no. [[85399]], April 2023.)
McDonald Road [Tram]: Edinburgh Trams no. 253 from Airport to Newhaven calling at the new stop at McDonald Road, in the centre of the Leith Walk dual carriageway, waiting to depart and head away from the camera, on the First Day of the Newhaven extension, Wednesday, 7th June 2023.
Gorton [WHR]: The southbound sleeper approaches Gorton. For most of the year on weekdays this train arrives after the sun has set, but in June and July it is still daylight. The train is double headed with 66739 and 73971.
Inverkeithing: 27017 pulls away from Inverkeithing, with the 12.21 Dundee - Edinburgh, on 21st February 1983.
Falkirk Grahamston: Metro-Cammell and Cravens multiple units at Falkirk Grahamston in 1966.
