Retford Low Level: 66562 passing Retford Thrumpton signal box and crossing with coal for Cottam in 2004. The platforms of Retford Low Level can be seen near the rear of the train.
Rosslyn Castle: This pipe bridge, just west of Rosslyn Castle's goods yard, carries water from Gladhouse Reservoir to Edinburgh. It was completed for the Edinburgh and District Water Trust in 1879, seven years after the railway opened.
Finsbury Park: 700122 calls at Finsbury Park, with a Thameslink service from Cambridge to Brighton, on 25 January 2023.

Ashburys: 45128 on the 'Mersey Docker' rail tour from Euston passing Ashburys on 20 February 1988. Formed with Network South East stock, the Peak had picked the train up at Trafford Park Freightliner Terminal and was now covering a number of curves around Manchester, the Oldham Loop and then would head for Bidston Docks via Ellesmere Port before going to Wrexham and Wolverhampton, from where a Class 85 electric took the participants back to London. Stockport: 66015 comes off the viaduct and takes the line through Platform 0 at Stockport, which doesn't seem to be in use for passengers presently. The wagons seem to be new or newly refurbished and this was a relatively short working from Ashburys to Dowlow on 11th January 2023.
Glasgow Queen Street High Level: The design of the facade at Glasgow Queen Street has caused controversy in some quarters given its proximity to George Square. However, from a passenger's perspective the concourse has a bright and airy feel, even on a dull February day at 16:26.
Dalmeny Junction: A northbound train approaching Dalmeny Junction passes below the A90 on 26 August 2008.The line to Winchburgh Junction can be seen curving away to the west in the right background. Photograph taken from the path leading down to the walkway which now occupies the trackbed of the former South Queensferry branch.
St Vigeans Level Crossing: This was the level crossing at St Vigeans on the Arbroath and Forfar Railway, as seen in 1996. The open line between Arbroath and Montrose is off to the right and St Vigeans Junction was some way behind the camera where the two met just north of Arbroath. The crossing keeper's cottage still stands today.

Turkey Street: 710121, London Overground from Liverpool Street to Cheshunt, departing from Turkey Street on a bright but bitterly cold 21st January 2023. This station was known as Forty Hill when it opened with the Churchbury Loop in 1891 and, like Southbury, closed in 1909, reopened briefly between 1915 and 1919 and then closed for 41 years until coming back to life in 1960 and its name changed to Turkey Street, the thoroughfare on which it stands in north-east Enfield. The line has been known as the Southbury Loop since its 1960 reopening and has been part of London Overground since 2015.
