Kelvindale: Only the train livery and the addition of a yellow line seems to have changed since image [[29432]] was taken at Kelvindale in 2010. 158721 calls at its final stop before terminating at Anniesland on 23 February 2023.

Newton-le-Willows: With the completion of the new station buildings and lift access at Newton-le-Willows the 1848 station building is no longer in railway use. Presumably the William Huskisson memorial replica that John McIntyre photographed is behind these boards. (See image [[53228]]). A pair of 195s calls on a Chester to Leeds service on 22nd February 2022.

Newtyle Junction: This was the site of Newtyle Junction in 1996, where amazingly ballast was still in place. The line running north from the original Newtyle station is to the left in this view and the deviation via the second Newtyle station curves off to the right. There was a signal box on the right. The view looks south.

West Silvertown: DLR unit no. 03 from Woolwich Arsenal to Bank approaching West Silvertown along the sinuous viaduct from Pontoon Dock, on a bright but bitterly cold 25th February 2023. My favourite pic of the day!

Leeds Dock: Leeds Dock, formerly Leeds New Dock, was built to get supplies, especially coal, into the city's industries but also to take goods out. It is now a marina in a residential and business area and the Armouries Museum sits on the east side. This 2023 view taken from the entrance to the dock from the adjacent canal.

Liskeard: 37674 on 6S55, the Burngullow to Irvine clay slurry 'silver bullets' at Bolitho, Liskeard on its long journey north in 1990. As can be seen, when the load was light only one loco was used rather then the normal pair of 37s. This was the Sunday working on a very hot day.
