Prestonpans: New murals, installed at Prestonpans in February 2023, grace the platform side of the station building. They illustrate the Prestongrange Mining Museum, a Wiles bus, Mallard and the 1722 Waggonway. They are due to be officially inaugurated in April.

Praebichl: 1970 scene at Praebichl, in Austria's Styrian Alps, on a rather gloomy evening. Praebichl was at the summit of the famous Erzberg ('Ore Mountain') rack railway, which over many years transported large quantities of iron ore quarried from the mountain. Ore trains up and down the rack were top and tailed by OBB Class 97 tanks, one of which (97 201) can be seen ready to descend the rack with a loaded train. In the background a Giesl ejector-fitted sister locomotive brings empties into the station, banked by another Class 97 out of sight at the rear.

Conway Park: 508111 briefly sees daylight as it calls at Conway Park, in the centre of Birkenhead, heading for Liverpool on 1st February 2023. The station opened in 1998, built by excavating a box downwards and opening out the roof of the tunnel, which is 59 feet below ground level. It contrasts with many other Wirral line stations, which were rebuilt in the 1930s for electrification. The tunnel was built by the Mersey Railway in the 1880s and runs all the way from Liverpool, under the Mersey, and out to Birkenhead Park.

Great Portland Street: LU S7 stock on clockwise Circle Line service departing from Great Portland Street on 10th January 2023, the 160th anniversary of its opening as Portland Road with the first stage of the Metropolitan Railway, renamed in 1923. This station in particular has a lot of its original Victorian brickwork on show on both platforms although, sadly, hoardings cover some of this up at both ends.

Lochrin Basin: Looking north east from Viewforth Bridge at the many canal boats moored west of the Leamington Lift Bridge (visible centre background). Some of these are probably houseboats and contrast both in style and content with the adjacent new flats. Lochrin Basin proper is beyond the Lift Bridge. The old Lochrin Basin itself has been filled in and built over.
