Ocean Terminal [Tram]: Track installation is nearing completion on the gap between Ocean Terminal and the terminus at Newhaven (in the distance), seen here on 24 September 2022.
Balshaw Lane Junction: A pair of LSL Class 20s head north at Balshaw Lane Junction on 20 September 2022. D8107 and D8096 were on a positioning move from Crewe to Carlisle in preparation for 'The Ayr Liner' railtour to Stranraer on the 21st.
Bridge Street: This fine building is the only surviving part of Bridge Street station, which was Glasgow's first custom-built passenger terminus, situated just to the south of the Clyde. It opened in 1841, superseding a wooden structure of 1839. The line was extended in 1890 to a new terminus on the north side of the river called Glasgow Central but Bridge Street remained open until 1906 when Central was extended to provide extra platforms. There is still an operational Bridge Street station, on the Glasgow Subway, which opened in 1896. This photo was taken from the ex-12.10 Avanti West Coast service from London Euston about to cross the Clyde into Glasgow Central, on the evening of Friday, 5th September 2022 where it arrived 10 minutes late at 17.21.
Cononish Viaduct: An Oban bound Highland Explorer approaches Cononish Viaduct from the east in a near valley of trees.
St Devereux: Arriva Trains Wales 175105 heads north between Abergavenny and Hereford, just over a mile to the south of the former St Devereux station, in November 2008. The train was heading to Manchester Piccadilly.
Heathrow Terminal 4 [BAA]: The class 345 units on the Elizabeth line are roomy inside. It is also easy to move into the next carriage. But you are advised to BYOC (Bring Your Own Cushion). I was only travelling to Terminal 2 to catch a road coach, so I didn't mind. Much.

Falkirk Wheel: Inside a Falkirk Wheel trip boat on the afternoon of 17th August 2021.
Chester: New Class 197 197002 stands in the holding sidings at Chester on 24th September 2022. This is one of the 51 new 2-Car units being built by CAF for Transport for Wales. There will also be 26 3-car units. They appear very similar to the Northern 195s but with a corridor connection.
Abbey Wood [EL]: Reports say Elizabeth Line services should continue beyond Paddington from 6th November 2022 and Bond Street station is expected to open around that time too. 345019 has just arrived at Abbey Wood from Paddington and is waiting to return thereto, on the morning of Friday, 23rd September 2022.
Cutler Sidings: Looking north to closed Dalmellington Iron Works at Waterside in 1988. In the foreground are surviving exchange sidings, the left-most of which appears to be the stub of the BR Dalmellington line.
Arienskill Bridge: Black 5 No.45407 rounds the curve at the west end of Loch Eilt on its way to Mallaig on 8th September 2022. The loch is just over three miles long.
Rufford: With shiny new 'Northern' bodywork 156401 pauses at Rufford while working on Colne - Ormskirk - Blackpool South circuits on 14th September 2022. This unit was one of several transferred to Northern from the East Midlands this year (See image [[79925]]). The train's seats are still upholstered in Stagecoach red but externally this 'First of Class' Sprinter is now indistinguishable from its Northern classmates.
