Southampton Docks Sidings: 11th of June 1963, and rebuilt West Country 34101 'Hartland' wins the contest with a Morris Oxford (Series V - big fins) at a level crossing in the Southampton Docks area. In all probability the Pacific is heading a boat train destined for London Waterloo. After withdrawal, and time in Barry scrapyard, 34101 was restored and is presently on the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

Didcot Parkway: A trip to Didcot on 14th September 2022 to see 46233 'Duchess of Sutherland' pass by, westbound with a Belmond Pullman Train for Bristol, a stirring sight at any time of day or night.

Yeovil Junction: The steam era water tank at Yeovil Junction still survives (see image [[59836]]). I believe it is strategically convenient for topping up steam engines on railtours.

Carnforth Bridge 128 [LC]: Bridge 128 carries Kellet Road over the Lancaster Canal in Carnforth. The original bridge was very narrow and later widened but the later arch is a different profile. This has still left a narrow roadway, controlled by traffic lights, and pedestrians cross the canal on an adjoining lattice steel footbridge.

Cutler Sidings: The demolished main line bridge below Laight Farm, on the former line to Dalmellington. The location is south east of the Cutler Sidings at Waterside, seen in 1989.

Blackpool North [Tram]: The new tram terminus for Blackpool North station is taking shape. An underpass beneath this building will directly link passengers to the railway station. Considering the work still going on it seems odd that the tracks have been completed, wired and tested at night with a Flexity tram. This was the scene, viewed from Talbot Road, on 21st September 2022.

Warcop: 37042 was delivered to the Eden Valley base at Warcop, as a long term restoration project, in 2011. Time has not been kind and it appears to be gradually rusting away, as seen here in September 2022.
