Filisur: Rhaetian Railway (RhB) class G4/5 number 108 photographed during a water stop at Filisur, in the course of a double-heading a special excursion over the Albula Line with sister locomotive 107. These veterans, dating from 1906, have been kept in working order by the RhB and can still be seen occasionally on steam specials (See image [[44732]]), albeit nowadays usually single-handed and over less mountainous stretches of the Rhaetian system.

Lancaster: Busy scene on the Lancaster Canal just outside the city centre as wide and narrow boats pass by Bridge 98 in July 2022. The crane is now in a garden but is a nice reminder that this area once had numerous wharves and warehouses. Bridge 97 in the background carries the WCML over the canal, just to the south of Lancaster station.

Corby Gates Signal Box: When you know that Eastfield box is just North of Peterborough (image [[27577]]), it will not surprise you to know that Corby Gates is nowhere near Corby. Clue: the footpath on the left leads to Wetheral station, along the side of the viaduct.
